"Dragonfly" is carved out of Guatemalan Blue Jadeite.

Note from the Artist: This “critter” as I call it, is one of the many that inhabit the territory up at our claim in Northern California. This is a place that I feel is particularly sacred to me, and when I’m there I just feel grateful to be alive and grateful to share this planet and this “human experience.”

Through the design process for this piece, I conceptualized the series of “critter” carvings that will debut in late 2020 - early 2021.

This piece is strung on a hand-braided polyester/nylon blend cord with hand-carved beads of the same jade, that slide to adjust cord length.

The Jade: This piece was carved into a pendant form with a matching bead from a deeply saturated and highly consistent piece of Guatemalan Blue Jadeite with a little bit of visible rind, or oxidized skin.

The Cord: This piece is strung on a tan nylon cord with sliding knots for adjusting the cord length with ease. The length range of this cord is about 15-30,” but this varies, so please call us if you need your cord to be specifically tailored to you at no extra charge.

All elements of this creative process are unique to each individual piece. All processes performed by us are done so by hand, with the aid and precision of electric hand tools… Please expect variation, as these products are 100% one-of-a-kind works of art.
