"Night Owl" is carved out of Northern California Nephrite Jade that my brother found recently. It is one of the highest quality jades we have found to date.

This piece is strung on a hand-braided polyester/nylon blend cord with hand-carved beads of the same jade, that slide to adjust cord length, which is 15-30”.

Note from the Artist: This “critter” as I call it, is one of the many that inhabit the territory up at our claim in Northern California. This is a place that I feel is particularly sacred to me, and when I’m there I just feel grateful to be alive and grateful to share this planet and this “human experience.”

Through the design process for this piece, I conceptualized the series of “critter” carvings that will debut in late 2020 - early 2021.
