"Natural Flow Ring"
"Natural Flow Ring"
“Natural Flow Ring” is a hand carved jade ring, cut from a single piece of Canadian Yukon Jade.
Note from the Artist: The “Natural Flow Ring” is inspired the flow and movement of water, as are all of the pieces in the Natural Flow Series. Ever since I can remember, I have been captivated by water. My mother would spend summer days with me at the river, I would fish the river with my father, uncle and brothers, and I have spent many days swimming the rivers of Northern California alone, usually on the hunt for jade. “Natural Flow “ captures the organic flow of the meandering rivers of Mother Nature.
This jade is a Canadian nephrite from the Yukon Territory, mined by my dear friend, Roger Krichbaum. Roger is an old-school rock hound and a miner of hard rock for more than 30 years. Many of the mines in Canada have now been purchased by the Chinese, so we are lucky that Roger provides North American jade to us North American carvers, from his own mine. He is a well-known character, a vibrant presence and pillar of support in the jade community. We are eager to support him by carving his beautiful jade.
